THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

There seems to be some confusion as to where the real estate market is headed in Middle Tennessee. Are we at the bottom? Have we started to climb out of this "hole" we are in? When will the home values return?

The data that I have been reviewing has values of homes in Middle Tennessee returing to 90% by 2012. This is great news!! Some figures have us hitting the"bottom" in November of 2009, others predict that the bottom will be sometime in February or March of 2010. Who knows? You never know when you have hit the bottom of the real estate market until you are on the way up. Whether it is Feb. or March or it was last November, things are on the way up. How fast we reach 100% of values is yet to be seen. The figures show that after 2012 the increase is slow and steady with increases at 1% per year until we reach 100% in 2018. At this point, I"ll take 90% in 2012 - won't you?

This gives me hope! All the media hypes are for gloom and doom - but isn't that what sells? We can look for the bright spots or we can look for bleakness. It is a choice. We all have a choice. What is yours?

The time is now - What a great time to buy real estate in Middle Tennessee! What a great time to sell real estate in Middle Tennessee! If you are a first time homebuyer or someone that is moving up- take advantage of the tax credits and the low interest rates- THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!!

Although the media continues to give us negative information about the future of the economy, I see 2010 as being a great year for real estate in Middle Tennessee and Murfreesboro!
